Michelle Collier vs Shannon Kelly - Is a Real Matchup in the Works?

Shannon Kelly

VS

Michelle Collier

A poster by the name of "Mia Andrews" (who I don't deem to be an actual person named Mia Andrews) made a posting on Facebook in which she tagged both Michelle Collier and Shannon Kelly.

Here is the posting by Mia Andrews:

So, now that I typed about my two favorite model and wrestlers, and I have been bombarded with questions….. so hopefully I can answer most….

What sparked my interest in Michelle Collier was….she’s hot! She was a 34 year old (now 36) MILF with a great body! Her profile says she has a child – which is hard to believe. But all I know is that if I ever have children, I pray my body comes back to how it is now!

But anyhows :)

The online fetish journal Weird, Hot and Sexy did a special on her, or interview, and what she had to say was just awesome! She seemed charming, smart, and just all around cool! So I joined her site, saw all of her photos; nude, bikini, wrestling, and so on and she is just amazing! Why she isn’t more recognized or known is beyond me!

Then another online wrestling called Catfight Report compared Michelle to another petite babe named Shannon Kelly.

I then did research on Shannon and, though about the same size, Shannon has that wild, bad girl – something totally opposite than Michelle. So, the journal compared as to who would win. Compared technical styles, attitudes, and all the way to body!

Michelle is more of a fetish wrestler. Though she has beaten women 2 or 3 times her size, something I have noticed with Michelle is that she doesn’t do anything sexual in matches. I mean, she does the breast mauls, crotch punches, and things like that, but not so hardcore as Shannon.

Shannon on the other hand is just an all-out scrapper! Though she has been beaten in Ultimate Surrender and made to orgasm in such a ‘brutal’ way, she is still a hot, fiery, red head that can still beat MOST women! Shannon has also beaten women bigger than her and in what she does, a more vicious way! Basically a sexual type fight!

Michelle has been in one match with a girl named Rochelle and it was for the Hardbodies Championship title belt and it was a sex fight in a steel cage; which in their words, a 8 foot by 8 foot dog kennel! With each participant bring in “implements of destruction”; being vibrators, dildos, handcuffs, and other things, Michelle lost and was forced to submit to Rochelle in a very sexual way! (Not sure if I can talk about it too much, since I don’t want to get in trouble – but it’s on Michelle’s website)

With that loss, my money would be on Shannon unless it was a strictly mat type match with nothing sexual.

So who do I think would win? I have no idea! But who wouldn’t love to see it happen? Both woman are totally hot and both so similar but also so different! Weird eh?

All I can ask for, wish for, as I would like to think many fans of them both, or either, would also love to see them wrestle – or at least model together! That would be like the yin and the yang!

I think this is an example of one fan in the industry posing as multiple people (Mia Andrews) to fulfill their desires. In this case, whether that is the case or not, I would also like to see Michelle Collier and Shannon Kelly go at it in a real match, and I want to know if fans out there reading this want to see it as well.

The comments box below the posting exploded on Facebook. The best parts were when Shannon Kelly and Michelle Collier were the ones commenting. Here is some of the stuff they exchanged:

SHANNON KELLY: Hi Mia, thanks for your awesome comments and vote of confidence! With that being said, I have only lost 2 times in US, once being the pilot and the second time, I had a broken foot. Both oft he girls were 5'6 and 130 lbs at least. I am and... was 4'10 and 90 lbs. I have a lot of training in all types of wrestling, submission, wwf style, mma, as well as kick boxing, traditional boxing, and yes, street fighting. I use whatever means allowed to win, and occasionally some that arent. Ive been doing this about ten years, so my experience also is another tool have. All that being said, no matter who I am matched up against, it would be smart to put your money on me. As far as Michelle, I dont think she would be any match for me at all, being just slightly bigger than me, i have a feeling her fetish wrestling is either very fluffy, or scripted, or both. I dont do fluff or scripted fights. Theres a reason they match me against larger girls in my fights and matches, and why they ask me to do the things others cant or wont...But if enough people want to see it, BRING IT ON! Strictly mat, or with sexual aspects, Ill, win either way, no doubt in my mind!

MICHELLE COLLIER: Well, contrary to Shannon’s comments, I am actually 4’10 as well and 89 pounds. I am always stated as 5’0”. But as far as the other stuff, back at Hardbodies, it wasn’t scripted and yes – my biggest was 6’1 and the smallest was 5’4” and the...n me being at 4’10” The reason why I beat bigger then me is because of tenacity, patience and ability. No match against Shannon? I am 110% sure that if I didn’t win, I am sure she would remember where she was the night we met on the mats. My opinion, I wouldn’t put money on Shannon and go for who is the all out better technical wrestler. Thanks for your interst Mia and the loyalty for both of us!

SHANNON KELLY: Michelle, what you say just does not ring true, on many levels. For starters, what female, who also claims to be a model, or entertainer, or whatever they consider themselves, has EVER lied and said they were bigger? Patience helped you win... against 6'1? come on! was the match not timed, or did she have absolutely no strength or training? And speaking of training, you mention being such a great technical wrestler, but you dont mention any actual training. Now I know a lot of people on the internet hide behind their keyboards, and mind you, Im not saying thats what you are doing, but I am saying you may be hiding a lot of the truth.

MICHELLE COLLIER: My training is in ju-jitsu as well as some other training. And as the woman said above, its all on my site :)

I have interviewed both Shannon Kelly and Michelle Collier on this website.

In my interview with Michelle I asked her if she could pick 5 wrestlers that she admires or aspires to beat.........who would they be? Choice number 5 was non other than Shannon Kelly.

Said Michelle in the Interview:

Shannon Kelly
Reason being is that there are a few websites I have seen that compares us; being the same height and such. So, I think it would be a very competitive match and to finally put all the other websites at rest of who is the better 5’0” wrestler.

As for myself, Johnny Ringo, I have known that Michelle has been interested in wrestling Shannon Kelly for a while. I said something to Shannon Kelly about Michelle Collier sometime in mid-2010 and she wasn't even aware of who Michelle even was.

Because I always felt the matchup would be interesting as well, I used the pairing in a feud at my story based venture called "Catfight Fantasy Girls" and the two even squared off at the very first PPV with Shannon Kelly getting the win by fan vote.

So here is the question.

Do you fans want to turn fantasy into reality?

I would be willing to hold a match between them in Indiana if the fans are willing to fund it and make it happen.

If you are interested, email me at catfightreport@hotmail.com and let me know how much you would be willing to personally invest to make the match happen. Remember that I would need to make a profit for my time and obviously Shannon Kelly and Michelle Collier would need to be comfortable with the amount invested so that it would be worth their time as well.

Best Catfight Ever? Google thinks it has the Answer

Best Catfight Ever:
Google thinks it has the Answer
By Mr. Blue

If you want to start a spirited debate (or an argument) at your local pub or on your favorite internet board, challenge people to pick the greatest catfight scene of all time. Most of us have our favorites but those are usually a personal preference – what makes a catfight “click” for a particular guy is a highly subjective thing.

Like beauty, a thrilling catfight is often in the eye of the beholder. But imagine if you are the might Google, which has emerged as one of the internet age’s powerhouses. Google’s strength (not to mention its main source of income) comes from its search engine, which allows Google to sort through an unbelievably huge volume of websites and other online materials and instantly rank them in order of preference.

Not to get too technical, but Google’s search feature is powered by the top-secret (and patented) algorithms created by Google’s founders. Despite a host of challengers, searching on Google remains the most popular way to surf the internet.

There has been some controversy of late, since some have shown it’s possible to “game the system” and get a site ranked higher than it deserves, but most people agree that Google’s search results are a fairly reliable way to rank things. So if a website or video link appears near the top of Google’s first page, that’s a good indicator of how popular it is.

Now, try this: Go to Google and type in the word “catfight” as your search query.

At least as of this writing, the first result will be a Wikipedia entry for catfights, which has an almost laughably straightforward tone to it. It begins, “Catfight is a term for an altercation between two women, typically involving scratching, slapping, hair-pulling, and shirt-shredding…” But scroll down and you’ll see the highest ranked link to a particular catfight scene (it usually appears second or third from the top). If you buy into Google’s ranking system, that scene is the most popular catfight scene of all time.

So what scene has Google elevated above all others? Here’s a hint: It’s not from Amazons (also known as War Goddess), nor any of the female fights from Kill Bill. It isn’t the Gypsy camp scene in From Russia with Love or Raquel Welch’s cave battle in One Million Years B.C. or any of a number of worthy contenders. Nope, according to Google, the most popular “catfight” found by its all-powerful computers is from a 1996 film that performed only modestly at the box office and was dismissed by many (including me) as an inferior knock-off of Pulp Fiction. The film, of course, was 2 Days in the Valley.

Few of us may remember all the different characters or various plot twists in the film but the epic catfight between Teri Hatcher and Charlize Theron is certainly something to behold. Both actresses are attractive, no doubt about it, and Charlize Theron is wearing a particular fetching outfit. If a woman is going to engage in a catfight, what better outfit to wear than a skintight white catsuit (Teri Hatcher’s character is dressed down for the occasion in running shorts, sneakers and a sweatshirt).

Teri plays an Olympic track star whose husband (actually ex-husband) is involved in some nefarious dealings. While still married to Teri’s character, he had a fling with Charlize’s character. For reasons I no longer remember, Teri confronts her romantic rival at Charlize’s apartment and the emotions between the former wife and the mistress are still raw. Things heat up once Charlize calls her a bitch (not once but twice) and then mocks Teri’s, um, performance in bed (ouch). And that’s when the fur starts to fly.

But whether you think the 2 Days catfight is the greatest of all time (I don’t) or merely excellent (I do!), there are – objectively speaking – at least two things wrong with it. First, in a problem plaguing many a catfight, the director cuts away from the action at a critical time. As the two women are fighting for the lives, he cuts to the apartment below them where an old couple is lounging in bed (the husband is played by tough guy actor Lawrence Tierney) but his intended laugh line is lame and ruins “the mood” for me.

The second problem is another recurring source of frustration for us fans, since the fight ends before one woman has proven who the better fighter is. Just when the action is really heating up, Charlize makes a move for the gun in her purse, the ladies struggle for control on the bed, the gun goes off, and one combatant then flees the apartment. What a letdown. A fight this good deserves a clear winner (and loser), not an accidental shooting victim!

But let’s not dwell on those drawbacks, especially since the film gets so much right.

Apart from a couple of nice kicks from Teri (remember, her character is supposed to be a top athlete), the “catfight” is an all-out brawl. No martial arts, no high-wire nonsense, just a life-and-death struggle between two ladies with their adrenaline pumping and juices flowing. They hold nothing back as they tear into each other. With so many catfight scenes, the women might as well be robots doing battle, but listen as they grunt and groan as they give everything they’ve got. I especially like Teri’s facial expressions in the first half of the fight, as Charlize’s aggression catches her off guard and she absorbs quite a bit of punishment before recovering. And, give the director credit, since his camera captures the chaotic nature of the slugfest, as the ladies literally crash around the apartment.

Read the review by Starr on 2 Days in the Valley back in 2008:
http://www.catfightreport.com/2008/05/catfight-report-movie-review-2-days-in.html

What’s on the screen matters most but the back story is interesting. Teri Hatcher had a solid track record on TV (having started out as a guest on the Love Boat and then a stint on MacGyver) and was riding high as Lois Lane on Lois & Clark: The New Adventures of Superman.

But having never landed a major film role before 2 Days in the Valley, she had something to prove. Even more interesting is what was driving Charlize. She had been a successful model in her native South Africa (she was born to a German mother and French father) but was eager to show she was more than a pretty face. Apart from a brief, uncredited scene in a horror flick, 2 Days was her first film role, playing the improbably named Helga Svelgen. As it turned out, Charlize would have a far more successful film career than Teri (who eventually headed back to TV with Desperate Housewives), but to earn her Oscar for best actress, Charlize had to go “ugly” to portray a female serial killer in Monster.

Bottom line: when the cameras started to roll in 2 Days, both actresses had a lot on the line.

Writer-director John Herzfeld had given them the film’s only fight scene and he wanted something special. In an interview, Herzfeld said this: “I wanted to see two women really have a brawl. Not just hair pulling and face scratching… I specifically wanted two women who were strong and in great physical condition, who were smart and tough, and who would go at it the way they could if they were in great shape. And [the actresses] worked on it for weeks [before filming began].”

But it gets better.

According to the director, the intensity of the on-screen action was due, in part, to an on-set accident. Charlize had never filmed a fight scene and despite the rehearsals, she made a rookie mistake during the first day of filming. She was supposed to pull her head back as Teri swung a punch but she didn’t go back far enough and Teri connected with a solid blow to Charlize’s cheek. But rather than storm off to her trailer and pout (or ask for her stunt double to step in), Charlize wanted to go again. They iced her swollen face, put on some make-up to cover the redness, and the scene started up again. Back to the director’s interview: “The accident … raised all the adrenaline. Suddenly the way the fight had been planned with stunt doubles, well, [Teri and Charlize] wanted to do it all ... When Teri throws Charlize up against the wall, it’s them. When she kicks her over the table and Teri grabs the vase and smashes it over her head, I don’t cut to a close up of the vase over the head. It is all there on the screen. They were very into it...”

To me, the “real” feel of the scene sets it apart from so many others. As the two ladies crash around the room and dig into each other, you feel like you’re in the middle of an actual catfight.

By the way, the highest ranked Google link is to an edited YouTube video of the catfight, where someone eliminated the cutaway to the old couple. I understand the rationale for stripping the scene to only the catfight but the purist in me has a problem with that. That is not how the director intended the scene, so for better or worse, the scene should be viewed (and evaluated) in its original form. Thankfully, there are several unedited clips available on the internet, including this one:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-6KjY4lAU7g

Is it the best ever?

Not in my book but it’s still a heck of a catfight!

Gail Kim vs Melina - Is the feud real or is it a work by the WWE?

MELINA

VS

GAIL KIM

Many blogs and news sites have been writing about the recent feud between Melina and Gail Kim of the WWE.

Gail Kim wrote on twitter: "Good morning..wow a good nights sleep and a direct flight.:) and I'm NOT a horrible friend! @realmelina is emotionally unstable!"

Melina responded:

Melina: "You're totally a Horrible Friend! I'm emotional Bcuz you made me this way! I'm a product of my environment BIOTCH! ;)"

Melina even went as far to make a video response that I will provide below regarding Gail Kim.

In the video below Melina says, "I read the tweet that Gail said I was emotionally unstable. Gail, I may be that but atleast I'm not a horrible friend like you. And believe me, after these two weeks in Asia, if you thought I was crazy before...I'm going to be that much crazier when I get back. Love you!"

Melina then wrote on Twitter the following: "realmelina: "I hope that Gail is drinking something when she watches this vid so it comes shooting out her nose!!!"

Read more about the feud by clicking the link below:

The primary thing here is determining whether or not this feud is real, contrived, or simply a new way of keeping scripted feuds fresh by the WWE. It would be an intelligent tactic by utilizing the females social networking power, along with the internet picking up on the stories, while striking fresh interest in new feuds as most fans know by now what is going to happen before it happens. (in most cases)

Of course, Johnny Ringo is always game for upping the ante.

What I would recommend is Gail Kim and Melina wrestling..........for real.

No script.

No predetermined outcome.

Who is the better woman?

I think that is something we would all LOVE to see.

The Jersey Shore - Were the Catfights real or staged?

SNOOKI

VS

ANGELINA

The Daily Mail website in the UK has an interesting article up suggesting that the fight between Snooki and Angelina Pivarnick on the Jersey Shore was nothing more than a stunt to attract more viewership.

They provide convincing evidence as they show one picture during the fight where J-Wow has her sock on and then another picture with the sock off during the scene.

This clearly demonstrates that the scene was re-shot and obviously implies that the action and feud were completely scripted.

Note:

Ringo tried to contact the management for both ladies to participate in a real, unscripted, Catfight Report Challenge matchup but I did not hear back from either camps.
