What a few of them do not realize, or do not know how to set up, is the CC Bill Webmaster Affiliate Program.
Why set this up?
Simple.
When another website puts your link on their website, the referring website gets paid a commission you specify each time they refer a sale to you. And, there are a lot of adult review websites, and places you can share your link with, that REQUIRE you to have an affiliate program for them to even list you at all.
I think in this day and age this is a vital tool for the producer who sells video. If you want to get the word out there, you need to give a little to get a little. However, the BEST thing about the program, is you only pay out when people are making you sales.
So how do you set it up?
For current CC Bill Clients: (not affiliates)
1. Go to the CC Bill.com website and on the top row click on "Client Login"
2. Put in your Client ID, User Name, and Password.
3. Select the sub account you want to set the affiliate program on in the drop down menu next to your account number.
4. Click on "Legacy Affiliate".
5. Click on "Signup Template".
6. Then click on "System Setup".
You are now in the screen where you can set up your affiliate program.
Here are some of the fields you will see:
Redirect URL Field:
Put: http://www.yourwebsite.com or http://www.yourwebsite.com/tour/index.html
Banners Slots: (10)
This is where you will put the banners for your website. If you have banners on your own website currently, simply right click on one of your banners, click "copy image location" and then copy and paste each one into the field at CC Bill. This will give your affiliates banners they can place on their website. You should use many different sizes as different websites will use different ones.
Telephone Billing Payout:
I would put somewhere between 20 and 50 percent.
Base Percent Payout or Base Dollar Payout:
Most affiliates pay between 20 and 50 percent per sale or signup. Or you can specify an amount that you will pay for every sale, regardless of the sale price. (A percentage would be safer)
Recurring Payment:
If you are a website that is subscription based, you should offer a recurring payment to the affiliate for generating the sale. This will keep the affiliate motivated to work harder for you and the affiliate sent you the sale anyhow so they should share in the profit.
(The next 4 options are pretty self-explanatory)
As for the click tracking at the very bottom, I don't know exactly how that works, but it is explained on the page. You can set those values yourself, or what I would do, is simply leave everything checked as it is.
"CLICK UPDATE"
Great job!
Now you have to go through another process to get the html code on your site and start having CC Bill track your affiliates.
Go through these quick steps:
(assuming you are still logged in)
1. Select the sub account you want to set the affiliate program on in the drop down menu next to your account number.
2. Click on "Legacy Affiliate".
3. Now click on "Signup Template".
You are going to see an html field.
Just below the introductory text is a field that starts with the following:
title - PAGE TITLE - title
You want to copy the above, all the way down to the bottom of the page inside the field, and then right click and copy. (or control + c).
You will now create a page on your website entitled "Webmasters". (or put the form in one of your existing pages). Copy and paste the code you just copied into the html of the page you create on your website. Go ahead and make all the fields line up and look good on your page and then save and view it.
If everything looks good.........then you want to put a link on the frontpage of your website that looks like this:
$$ Webmasters $$
Simply link the $$ Webmasters $$ phrase above to the page you just created above that will take surfers to the page where they can sign up for your affiliate program.
Good job!
Now, you will want to set up your email message the affiliates receive:
1. Select the sub account you want to set the affiliate program on in the drop down menu next to your account number.
2. Click on "Legacy Affiliate".
3. Now click on "Set Email Text".
Essentially, welcome the affiliate that just signed up and provide your contact information or a rally-rally pep message.
NEXT!
There are some important things you will want to "enable".
Follow the steps again.
1. Select the sub account you want to set the affiliate program on in the drop down menu next to your account number.
2. Click on "Legacy Affiliate".
3. Now click on "Advanced Features".
Bonus Level Tiering:
Yes! Fill it out. Motivate your affiliates to push you instead of your competition.
Payment Options:
The Payment Options area allows you to setup how referrals from recurring billing (trial or initial amount) are handled and whether to pay for rebills. You may have different payment options for a subscription that start as a trial or recurring. When a subscription begins, it can be optionally set as a trial. The trial can optionally convert to recurring. This option is disabled by default.
Payout Resetting:
When enabled, an affiliate will start to qualify for each bonus level tier at the first day of every month; during the month, the transaction totals might qualify the affiliate to be moved to the next bonus level tier. When disabled, an affiliate has to qualify for each bonus level tier only once; transaction totals are calculated from the date the affiliate signed up for the program.
Signup Refreshing:
Specifies a user-defined URL where to send all new Affiliates after they complete the signup process.
Allow Blocked Countries:
When enabled, CCBill will allow you to receive Affiliate Signups from all countries. When disabled, CCBill will disallow Affiliate Signups listed in the blocked or barred countries.
Multiple Redirects: (VERY IMPORTANT!)
This is important so that your affiliate can "direct link" to certain pages on your website.
Email me or comment below if you need to instruct your affiliates how to code these links.
Append Data on Redirect:
When enabled, this option allows you to append data on a redirect.
Partner Bonus Program: (VERY IMPORTANT!)
If you enable this, if any other webmasters sign up for your affiliate program THROUGH one of your affiliate's websites, the referring affiliate will make a small percentage off each one of the new webmaster's sales. This will allow your affiliates to refer other webmasters, and receive a small commission you specify off each of the sales of the webmasters they refer. A good percentage on this is 4 to 10 percent. (Be sure to just put one numeric value in the field when it asks your percentage payout. For instance 4 instead of 4.00)
Cookie Expiration:
Set this generally 3 to 7 days.
Receive CC Bill Emails:
When enabled, CCBill will send an email to the webmaster each time a subscription rebills that was referred by an Affiliate. When disabled, CCBill will not send emails for Affiliate subscriptions that rebill .
CC Bill Account Grouping: (this should be enabled, but ensure that it is)
When enabled, your Affiliates can direct traffic to your subaccount Affiliate Programs. The option is only available in the "0000" CCBill subaccount or main account. When disabled, all new Affiliates will have to individually signup for each subaccount's Affiliate Program.
Refer to the Affiliate Directs Setup Guide to learn how to setup Multiple Redirects for your Affiliate Program. Multiple Redirects will direct traffic to all your subaccount websites if CCBill Account Grouping is enabled.
You are done!
There are a few more things you might want to investigate and go through, but this will at the very least get you started and going concretely.
Hope this was helpful.
Meow!
