The Movie TV Catfight Alert Yahoo Group!
One of the best run and tightly moderated Yahoo Groups in this genre that I have ever came across is the Movie TV Catfight Alert Yahoo Group.
I will admit that when I look for ideas here at the Catfight Report........the Movie TV Catfight Alert Yahoo Group is one of the first places I go to find news.
They are better than Google and have a group of members that are active and know the history of catfighting and female wrestling very, very well.
It was founded in 2003 and at the time of this writing it has 6,423 members.
The Mission Statement goes as such:
The purpose of this group is to provide a forum to fans of catfights in movies and on t.v. to alert one another about great catfights, provide reviews and previews of movies and t.v. shows featuring catfights and exchange information about where to get tapes of movie/t.v. catfights. Please don't post fantasy fights or "who would win a fight between...." polls; there are plenty of other places for that. This group is intended only for legitimate fans of the movie/t.v. catfight genre.
If you are looking to talk about catfights past and present, but also find out what catfights are going to be coming up in TV and Film.........this is a fantastic group to be a part of.
I highly recommend going through the "messages" in the group as you will find a long and diverse collection of catfight talk ranging from tv and film along with a "Catfight Spotlight" written by the moderator of the group..........Ed Stips on individual ladies who participated in movie/tv catfights or SHOULD have. :) :)
Here is an excerpt from Ed Stips "Catfight Spotlight" series:
** Catfight Spotlight on Dana Delany **
Writes Ed Stips
Actress Dana Delany is not classically beautiful, but is nonetheless very sexy. Perhaps it is her sexiness that has made her one of those performers I have always wanted to see in a movie/t.v. catfight.
Dana has been in two of them. Regretfully, neither will make anyone's top ten list but one of them, albeit a brief encounter, permits Ms. Delany to exhibit her aforementioned sexiness. That particular girl fight is found in the second season episode of the Vietnam war drama China Beach, which aired on the ABC network for four seasons from 1988 to 1991, called "Tet '68."
It pits Dana Delany's Nurse Colleen McMurphy against K.C. Kolowski, a prostitute portrayed by Marg Helgenberger. Dana wears her Army uniform, including a skirt (her character was a Lieutenant at the time, and was later promoted to Captain), while Marg has on a very snug-fitting dress.
Nurse McMurphy is trying to calm K.C., who is enduring drug withdrawal. The tightly wound prostitute responds by belting the Lieutenant in the head. Ms. Delany takes Ms. Helgenberger down to the floor, where they briefly grapple.

I rate this Yahoo Group A+++
The above is a fine example of the quality of writing that goes into that group and the depth of detail involving those who are written about.
