This movie was never considered for an Academy award. Wasn't given extensive play in the media. Probably won't show up on many Amazon wish lists.
But, it harbored one of my favorite catfights of all time. Courtesy of one of my favorite bad girls of all time.
For those of you care, let's first start with the plot:
Mind Twister was a loose remake of Fred Olin Ray's own Sins of Desire starring the extremely sexy Tanya Roberts.

A bit on Fred Olen Ray. This is a man who seemingly appreciated a good catfight with mega sexy females involved. Not only did he bring us this movie, Mind Twister, but he also brought us Cyclone, Inner Sanctum 2, Attack of the 50 Foot Centerfold, but there may be other movies I am missing as well. I sent him an interview request at the time of this writing and we will see if he responds.
Back to the movie!
Suzanne Slater plays a lead role as a voluptuous blonde investigating the death of her sister.
Telly Savalas appears in what turns out to be his very last movie as the good guy cop.
Suzanne Slater starts the snooping process and it leads her to a shrink. This shrink has an equally voluptuous wife. She is the bad girl of this movie and she goes by the name of Erika Nann. In my view, it is Erika Nann that makes this movie. A body to die for and a template for all future bad girls to follow.
Really, that's about it plot wise.
It turns out that the bad people are Erika Nann and Gary Hudson. It ends up they killed Suzanne Slater's sister in the movie. They try to get Suzanne to do some REALLY kinky stuff. She even has a very hot lesbian scene with Erika Nann. Two of the finest bodies you will ever see. Very erotic stuff.
Now, with that covered, let's get to the catfight!
MEOW!
The evil, dark haired Erika walks into the room with her male lover as she laments:
ERIKA: I hate to sound paranoid, my love, but I do believe there are people plotting against us.
The good girl Suzanne is stunned as she immediately grabs the tape out of the VCR and picks up a spatula looking object. Gary Hudson says he will shoot her where she stands.
However, Erika Nann has other plans........
ERIKA: Give it to me. (the tape) Give it to me and I will only cripple you....
Erika then laughs, calls her a stupid slut, and starts struggling for control with her. Erika nails a very hard punch into Suzanne's stomach, followed by a hard cross right across Suzanne's pretty cheekbone.
Erika then nails a left cross across her face, then a right cross, then she grabs Suzanne by her coat shoulders and pushes her hard against the edge of the bed. Erika then tries to choke her to death as her boyfriend is yelling for her to stop.
He comes over and tries to stop Erika, but she shoves him away, and tells him to "get the fuck out of here", as a cop (Telly) limps his way into the doorway at the same time.
As the two males are now fighting, Erika ramps up her punishment of Suzanne with two very hard punches into her stomach. Then Erika pulls her up, blasts her in the face with a punch, takes 2 handfuls of hair, and starts slamming her head against a hard wall.
After slamming the back of Suzanne's head a few times, Erika shouts, COME HERE, and then blasts Suzanne across the face with another punch! Suzanne tries to fall on the bed, but Erika pulls her back up by her hair, and then nails her with another left cross across her cheek!
Suzanne is down for the count!
Or so we think!
Moments later, Erika Nann is sadly shot in the stomach. Not cool!
That's it for the catfight.
However, it is one of my favorite catfights because:
A. The bad girl dominates.
B. The good girl generated virtually no offense whatseover.
C. The bad girl dominates. (yes, I said that already, I know!)
This must be a very rare find!
