CATFIGHT REPORT MOVIE REVIEW:
FATAL ATTRACTION
FATAL ATTRACTION
There is attraction............but then..............there is......... "Fatal Attraction".
By means of the terminology one could surmise that the latter could get one killed.
This story of Fatal Attraction is the name of the movie. A new movie by the name of Obsessed, which was reviewed by the Catfight Report here, seems to have taken a page out of this storyline. You see, the issue here is that the male star of Fatal Attraction............Michael Douglas...........just can't seem to keep his peter in his pants.
He ends up cheating on his wife, with a character named Alex played by Glenn Close, and then Glenn Close ends up having a "Fatal Attraction" for Michael Douglas.............in a formula so predictable even a small boy could figure out what follows.
Obviously, we could care less about the story or the production quality of the movie. All we care about is the catfight that occurs at the end of the film between Alex (Glenn Close) and the wife of Michael Douglas............played by the character Beth...........Anne Archer.
After repeated attempts by Glenn Close's character in the movie to re-ignite the fire with Michael Douglas.....it just isn't meant to be. He doesn't return her calls, he moves away, and she continues to
chase. Finally, when it becomes clear that Glenn's character will not sway Michael's love........she targets Anne Archer's character as the total and complete object of her scorn and jealously.
Therefore, the set up is about as good as it can get! A HUGE catfight seems to be on the horizon?
Right?
Right?
Wrong.
Glenn Close's character (Alex) tries to use a KNIFE on (Beth) Anne Archer in the bathroom. No female superiority. No domination of the other female. Nothing cool and exciting. Just a knife. This is after Glenn had been extremely physical and tough throughout the movie.
Glenn takes a couple of slicy jabs with her knife and Anne Archer nails her with a big punch and they tangle on the floor briefly.
That's it.
Some review, huh?
I have to give Glenn Close credit however. She was a very tough and aggressive bitch in this movie.
Other than that, mark this movie down as another example of Hollywood missing out on what could have been in all time classic catfight!
