As the Catfight Report stated................NOBODY.............has the roster that Double Trouble Wrestling has. They are like the New York Yankees of the female wrestling business!
In the Catfight Report's opinion this may be the one female wrestling company that could hit the mainstream in a big, big way!
We had an interview with one of the co-owners (Mark Clauson) of DT Wrestling about the history of Double Trouble, questions on catfights, and the future of Double Trouble Wrestling.
CATFIGHT REPORT INTERVIEW QUESTIONS WITH MARK CLAUSON OF DT:
1. Double Trouble Wrestling has been open for 25 years now. What a great feeling! What can you tell us about the ride between then and now?
DOUBLE TROUBLE WRESTLING:
The ride has been a wild one! In the old days there was no internet! Just a mailing list and some loyal customers.
We would hire all the people for large shoots in studios and then outsource our editing. Over time, we got all of our own equipment, did everything in house, shot it ourselves, and performed our own editing. Now all the internet work is done by DT and we even have our own studio. Back in the day we had to use the credit cards every month just to make it through and even had normal jobs on the side.
I don't have to do another job at this point, but as far as the debt goes, well, some things will never change. :)
2. What compelled you to get into this business and start it? What is the history behind Double Trouble Wrestling forming?
DOUBLE TROUBLE WRESTLING:
Gina started the company as I was seeing her at the time and working in the studios. One thing led to another and we started working the company together and are still hard at it after all this time!
3. The Catfight Report believes you have assembled the greatest roster of female wrestlers on earth. What attracts these females to work for Double Trouble?
DOUBLE TROUBLE WRESTLING:
Just the other day I had to do a search for a girl on our web site and I was amazed at all the girls we have used over the years, so many I can't remember many of them!
Part of the reason we have so many beauties is that we are located in Hollywood where so many lovely ladies have come for their show biz careers. But I believe the main reason is because the girls bring their friends to work with us - they pre-screen all the girls for us and bring the best around.
They do this because they like to work for DT - we always have fun at the shoots and we have always stressed having ultimate respect for the girls. Not to mention we have always set the standard for paying the girls well. We truly like the girls we work with! Also our new Fresh Faces section showcases new talent right away and we are constantly adding new ladies.
4. Are you a big fan of catfights and female wrestling yourself? What do you prefer situation wise and why?
DOUBLE TROUBLE WRESTLING:
Growing up in Iowa I was wrestling at an early age but had not seen women's wrestling till we started doing it at DT. I was hooked when those beautiful girls started throwing each other around the ring!
Catfights are sometimes my favorites, especially, a good catfight in the ring. The situation I prefer is when they start with their clothes on...... and bit by bit...... they rip each piece off and really go at each other with all they have!
5. Can you tell us about any behind the scenes catfights that have occurred at Double Trouble or anywhere else you have been?
DOUBLE TROUBLE WRESTLING:
I'm not going to name names as some of the girls I'm thinking of still work for us. However, there have been more than a few times when a fight starts tame, but the girls decide, for whatever reason, they want to see who is REALLY THE BEST and the match goes to a whole new level.
Some girls just won't work with other girls because of bad blood and we keep them away from each other. I remember one time when a girl showed up late, it was a slugging match, and the other girl beat her so hard she had to stop. I better not talk about any more as most of the girls get along great together and we are one big happy family.
6. The Catfight Report is going to put you on the spot. If you had to pick 5 females off of your roster that you feel would be the toughest in a REAL LIFE catfight....who would they be and why?
DOUBLE TROUBLE WRESTLING:
Francesca, Tylene, Nicole Oring, Alyssa, Christi Ricci and Christine Dupree - Wouldn't want to get in a street fight with any of these girls because they are all tough ladies - no girly girls here. They can all take a lot of pain and they are all very athletic. Had to do six and then I left a few other tough ladies out like Goldie and Christine Carter and ...
7. Tell us about the Double Trouble customer. Are they generally male or female? Also, what have been some of the biggest draws at DT Wrestling over the years?
DOUBLE TROUBLE WRESTLING:
Our customers cross all types - you name it we have some - every profession, from ministers, lawyers, truck drivers... It was an older crowd but many younger fans have been coming lately and now from all corners of the earth - yes every possible country is now coming on board thanks to the internet.
We don't have a lot of female customers, but we do have some, and we are constantly getting hits on our Myspace page from women that are fans and many that want to wrestle but live in far off places.
8. Please tell Catfight Report fans everything Double Trouble offers to fans of this genre.
DOUBLE TROUBLE WRESTLING:
We offer all types of matches from pro to catfight, boxing, superheroine, including fetish in and out of the ring. We literally have thousands of matches and putting out about twenty to twenty-five new ones each month. We have produced so many that we are constantly putting the old ones up for download!
9. Are there any openings for female wrestlers at Double Trouble? If a female is interested....who does she contact......and what type of qualifications do potential females need to have?
DOUBLE TROUBLE WRESTLING:
Always looking for talented enthusiastic new ladies and they can go to the web site and send in a picture and tell of their experience or training......or if they just want to learn! They can also get us at the DT Myspace page where some of our people can chat with them.
10. Please tell us about the present and future of Double Trouble. What are some things you are doing now? What are some things you are doing in the future? What are some things you are going to do to try to wiggle more into the mainstream?
DOUBLE TROUBLE WRESTLING:
We just stared shooting in HD so some of our downloads will be in wide screen and higher definition and later we will put out some in a true 720 or 1080 also our DVDs will be a higher quality and later we will be putting putting out some Blueray discs. We are also looking into doing live streaming but that won't be till next year and if we can ever raise the money we would like to do a feature film around wrestling. We also just recently went into some small pay per view markets and are hoping to break further into that area.

Folks, this really is a great company.
25 years in business and still chugging away in a tough economy!
But, when you have a roster akin to the New York Yankees, and you pay high salaries, you have to put butts in the seats! We know that many catfight fans are thrifty and like to look to websites like youtube, rapidshare, and private groups and bulletin boards for this material.
But please.......stop and think! If everyone is viewing their content for free, how is DT Wrestling going to keep a large roster of girls? How is a producing company like Double Trouble to pay the bills?
