Sabre Studios knows a little bit about what makes a good scripted female vs female wrestling match.
They have been in and around this business for quite some time.
We decided to do an interview with the person that runs Sabre Studios as we would like to introduce new and existing fans to their offerings, psychology, and their philosophy on doing business.
Without any further adieu, here is the interview!
1. Tell Catfight Report readers about Sabre Studios. How long have you been in business, how did the company start, and tell us about the history of the company.
Sabre Studios: As a female wrestling fan for 35 years, I decided that I wanted to create a company that dedicated itself to high quality pro-style topless fantasy wrestling in a ring setting. In 2000 I met my all time favorite wrestler Quisha Page. We decided to form a company called Survivor Video. I continued to help her with the company which she renamed Amazonian Women. In 2004, I finally got the courage to go out on my own and Sabre Studios was born. I am not a fan of female violence, but I do like the sexy look of a helpless opponent. We try to cater to everyone's likes and try to capture that sexiness that wrestling fans are looking for. We tend to work with busty girls who sometimes are not trained athletes, but we try to work with them and their skills to develop their athletic ability. Many of our wrestlers have been seen performing for other companies and are well known for their screen presence and all around sexiness in the ring. Quisha Page was the main reason why I started this business. She is beautiful a great wrestler and has a great body with the best breasts in the business as far as I am concerned. Sabre Studios was molded after her. I wanted beautiful women with great bodies and big breasts wrestling in the ring pro-style with great action.
2. Who are some of the females that have wrestled for Sabre Studios? Who are some of the major girls you worked with in the past, and who are some of the girls you are going to be working with in the present?
Sabre Studios: Our first video starred Tanya Danielle Vs. Devon Michaels. Devon Michaels had never performed in a professional wrestling ring prior to this match and only had been performing in catfights. Our second match starred the ring tough Franchesca Le vs. the british newcomer Goldie Blair. Both women were excellent at what they do and very convincing and sexy. Our third match was the best ever (and is still my favorite match ever) Quisha Page Vs Sabrina Stone aka Hurricane Havana. This has everything a topless wrestling fan could ever want. Big pro moves body slams, illegal wrestling. Big boobs sexy action and a lead to a great ending. 60 minutes of great action in a three fall match. I can’t say enough about this match or the girls that were in it.. Nothing but spectacular. Some other veterans of the ring have starred in our films such as Charlie Chase, Rachael Love, Vanessa Harding, Summer Cummings, Krystal Summers and a newcomer who have proven them self a worthy opponent Alicia Dimarco. My favorite of all is Quisha Page. She has shot the most videos with us and by far are the best matches Sabre Studios has shot. The moves and holds and acting are the best. I love working with her because she is such a professional and good person. We have future plans on using some new models and help training them so that the action in Sabre videos continues to shine in the wrestling world. We are also working on developing a tournament to belt a champion for the WWZ (Women's Wrestling Zone).
3. Tell Catfight Report readers about the matches themselves. Are the matches real, semi-real, scripted? What exactly should a paying customer expect when they purchase one of your matchups?
Sabre Studios: All of our matches are custom scripted by myself in order to capture the essence of pro-style wrestling with cat fighting tendencies and the sexiness of the girls that are in the match. We try putting in pro moves and holds, including corner punishment, forearms, chokes, illegal moves, breast torture, etc. Customers should expect high quality footage captured by two cameras giving different angles that when edited, they can get the best in viewing pleasure. Some of the girls are more athletic than others, so we try to incorporate the bigger moves like clotheslines, body slams, and flips.
4. Obviously in the marketplace there is what is known loosely as "the pie". The economic pie. What do you feel sets Sabre Studios apart from the other companies in the genre, and why should fans consider investing in your product?
Sabre Studios: We tend to hire bustier opponents and show them how to do the holds and moves as close to the professionals as we can. We use multi camera angles in order to capture the best footage possible so our viewers can enjoy all the sexiness of this great sport. We try to set up scenarios for each match to build up the hype leading into the match. We also use story lines to lead into other matches and keep the anticipation and excitement of two beautiful women finally meeting in the ring to do battle. We edit all our videos to make sure the quality of the wrestling is the best it can possibly be. We don’t just let the cameras roll and let the girls roll around on the ground. Our matches tend to be more believable because we try to make each match a 50/50 split in action between the two girls. Reversals are more believable which tends to lead to a more realistic ending. We do not condone female violence and would never want to see anyone really hurt. This is all fantasy and we try to bring out the sexiness of the beautiful helpless woman. A huge part that sets us apart is our website. We give more content and information than any other website out there. There are pictures, descriptions, video clips, and a list of moves, holds, and actions, that give our customers all the information they will need to make an educated decision about buying any particular video.
5. Here at the Catfight Report we thrive on discovering juicy or interesting tidbits regarding real catfights and tension between the females we love. Are there any good or interesting stories you can share that have happened in the past at Sabre Studios that would get fans more interested in your girls? (Just as one example of many, were there any scripted matches that perhaps turned a little bit more "real" than planned?)
Sabre Studios: None that really got out of hand, but there are always behind the scenes drama. A boob gets punched too hard hear or there or one of the girls has an injury that gets hurt again but for the most part everyone is very careful. Generally our models are very professional and keep it together when they are working. We have a lot of fun at our shoots, It’s more explaining and training than video time. It is generally a very light hearted experience and we focus on safety as a major concern. We want our models coming back and don’t want to hire new girls and give a bad impression of the sport.
6. The key to a successful company is to never settle. It's imperative to always be improving your product offering and to listen to what fans have to say about your product and services. What things at Sabre Studios do you seek to improve, and what improvements have already been put in place, that will interest potential or current fans of your offerings out there?
Sabre Studios: We now have our own studio, so climate and lighting is under control. We have a big bouncy padded ring where more moves and flips can be utilized without the girls getting bruised or injured. We learn with every shoot on what we can do better. And we try to get the best camera angles possible. We are always looking for new talent and we are always going over training with the girls we shoot to make sure all the action is as close to professional as possible. All customers are different. Some like their favorite girls to be in control, and others like to see their favorites in helpless positions.
7. In the opinion of Sabre Studios, what makes for a good female vs female wrestling bout? Do you focus your offerings on the competitive aspect, the looks of the girls, the scenario at hand, the name brand recognition of the girls? Basically, in short, what do you think makes for a compelling match that people will buy and watch for years and years on end? What is the formula in your personal view?
Sabre Studios: Every good movie starts out with a good basic story line. Obviously, the girls have to be beautiful and have voluptuous bodies. Our goal is to show these women in different moves, holds, and positions, to bring out the sexiness of the sport. In my opinion, the best part of a movie is when our women show their beautiful faces with helpless looks and positions with jiggling breasts that are sexily exposed and displayed. Our formula for success is to generally put one girl in the ring with quality wrestling skills and match her up with a bigger breasted girl against her. This way at least our customers get to see a more voluptuous girl in a dominant position against an opponent, and also in a submissive position.

8. If you could pick 5 girls that do not currently wrestle for Sabre Studios, and never have, that are currently a part of this genre and industry, who would those 5 girls be, and why would you choose them to represent your company?
1. April Hunter – She is a great wrestler. She oozes sex appeal and would make for a great opponent.
2. Annie Social – She currently wrestles in pro venues but also has done naked wrestling for another company. She has a great body and great skills in the ring.
3. Venus Delight – She is still a beautiful and sexy woman. And believe it or not is a great wrestler and is as tough as nails to my surprise.
4. Shelly Martinez – a beautiful and gifted athlete. But to my knowledge is not wrestling anymore.
5. Frankie Zappatelli – She is absolutely beautiful, and as strong as they come. She is an all around great wrestler. I cannot wait to incorporate her into the WWZ.
9. It's Johnny Ringo's view that to do well in this industry, you must be a fan of the industry. Please name in your personal opinion, the top a couple websites out there that you visit that is related to this genre, and tell us why you think they are good websites that people should visit and support.

We are definitely going to try to use more new talent and mix them with the veterans to keep the fans interested in our products. Different combination's of these women always make the matches more interesting, especially when building story lines, making alliances, and also enemies.

Also, the nice thing about our videos is that they are generally 30-60 minutes long. For only $29.95. Typically, the industry matches are 15-20 minutes long. We try to separate ourselves from that stereotype.
We have a match released earlier this year called “Barbarian Death Match” featuring the newcomer Alicia DiMarco vs. Summer “The Barbarian” Cummings. What is unique about this match is that one girl has to be pinned to the mat for a 3 count. Then she has a 10 count to get to her feet to continue the match. The winner will have pinned her opponent, then after a 10 count, that woman cannot get back to her feet, leaving a helpless, topless, sexy opponent laid out in the middle of the ring, exhausted from the battle. The highlight to this match is our customers that like pinfall matches get to see multiple pins and also some kickouts, as the match rages on until one woman is left vulnerable and beaten.
