DWW Movie Review: Mel vs Tessa - DWW Movies 742

Description of this match from DWW:
Released: 2008
Duration: 24 minutes and 15 seconds
This is an apartment fight between proud and confident Mel and slim but beautiful newcomer Tessa. When Tessa feels that she’s not capable of winning this match, she’s pulling Mel’s pigtails. She better shouldn’t have done that. Mel accepts her invitation for hair pulling with pure excitement and soon after we’ll find poor Tessa crying and in tears. However, we don’t know if she cried because of Mel pulling her hair, because of the painful scissors she was in or because of Mel having broken Tessa’s pride. However, from this moment Tessa was lost and it’s a complete domination with hair pulling, face sit pins and scissors towards the end of this one sided fight. Tessa is trying hard but Mel is definitely the better woman. If you like one sided matches with lots of domination, humiliation and even some tears being shed, then this is a match for you. Of course this match was Tessa’s first impression of a hair pulling fight, but after having seen that match we do believe that Tessa is rather being up for the softer and tender side of female competition.
Catfight Report Review:
I don't know how many of you out there are familiar with Mel from DWW. When I first saw her, honestly, I didn't think much of her positive or negative. Well, that was until I started watching her matches.
Goodness!
She is sexy. VERY sexy! Much hotter than the girl next door. She has a very slender frame but she is very beautiful and is easily in my top 3 of my favorites at DWW. Not only is she very sexy, but despite her petite frame, she is strong.
But even better, from my point of view, is the fact that she loves to dish out the humiliation in her wrestling matches. You will often find the loser trapped solidly underneath her private parts. And, sometimes, she will even pull her skirt back and give them a face full of you know what!
She is not shy and domination is her game!
Meow!
Speaking of domination, that is what this movie above is all about. This is 100 percent real wrestling. I'm afraid I'm going to have to spoil it for you all. Hillary Swank lookalike Tessa gets dominated from start to finish. She cannot handle the superior Mel.
For close to 20 minutes, Mel absolutely dominates from start to finish. You can check out some more preview pics of this match before you buy the video by clicking on the links provided in this article here.
The storyline is a simple one. Essentially, the beautiful Eva is Mel's main rival at DWW. Mel talks some shit about Eva but Tessa claims they are friends. Then, a fight ensues, of which the action is real even though they use a storyline to start the match.
Mel taunts Tessa throughout the match telling her how much better she is than Eva. And Eva should know! She has fallen to Mel a few times already in some of the best matches DWW has ever produced.
If you like one sided domination I highly recommend you purchase this match! And, DWW loves feedback, and so do I, so please comment after you purchase the video.

Catfight Report Movie Review: Mind Twister
MIND TWISTER
This movie was never considered for an Academy award. Wasn't given extensive play in the media. Probably won't show up on many Amazon wish lists.
But, it harbored one of my favorite catfights of all time. Courtesy of one of my favorite bad girls of all time.
For those of you care, let's first start with the plot:
Mind Twister was a loose remake of Fred Olin Ray's own Sins of Desire starring the extremely sexy Tanya Roberts.
Time out!
A bit on Fred Olen Ray. This is a man who seemingly appreciated a good catfight with mega sexy females involved. Not only did he bring us this movie, Mind Twister, but he also brought us Cyclone, Inner Sanctum 2, Attack of the 50 Foot Centerfold, but there may be other movies I am missing as well. I sent him an interview request at the time of this writing and we will see if he responds.
Back to the movie!
Suzanne Slater plays a lead role as a voluptuous blonde investigating the death of her sister.
Telly Savalas appears in what turns out to be his very last movie as the good guy cop.
Suzanne Slater starts the snooping process and it leads her to a shrink. This shrink has an equally voluptuous wife. She is the bad girl of this movie and she goes by the name of Erika Nann. In my view, it is Erika Nann that makes this movie. A body to die for and a template for all future bad girls to follow.
Really, that's about it plot wise.
It turns out that the bad people are Erika Nann and Gary Hudson. It ends up they killed Suzanne Slater's sister in the movie. They try to get Suzanne to do some REALLY kinky stuff. She even has a very hot lesbian scene with Erika Nann. Two of the finest bodies you will ever see. Very erotic stuff.
Now, with that covered, let's get to the catfight!
MEOW!
The evil, dark haired Erika walks into the room with her male lover as she laments:
ERIKA: I hate to sound paranoid, my love, but I do believe there are people plotting against us.
The good girl Suzanne is stunned as she immediately grabs the tape out of the VCR and picks up a spatula looking object. Gary Hudson says he will shoot her where she stands.
However, Erika Nann has other plans........
ERIKA: Give it to me. (the tape) Give it to me and I will only cripple you....
Erika then laughs, calls her a stupid slut, and starts struggling for control with her. Erika nails a very hard punch into Suzanne's stomach, followed by a hard cross right across Suzanne's pretty cheekbone.
Erika then nails a left cross across her face, then a right cross, then she grabs Suzanne by her coat shoulders and pushes her hard against the edge of the bed. Erika then tries to choke her to death as her boyfriend is yelling for her to stop.
He comes over and tries to stop Erika, but she shoves him away, and tells him to "get the fuck out of here", as a cop (Telly) limps his way into the doorway at the same time.
As the two males are now fighting, Erika ramps up her punishment of Suzanne with two very hard punches into her stomach. Then Erika pulls her up, blasts her in the face with a punch, takes 2 handfuls of hair, and starts slamming her head against a hard wall.
After slamming the back of Suzanne's head a few times, Erika shouts, COME HERE, and then blasts Suzanne across the face with another punch! Suzanne tries to fall on the bed, but Erika pulls her back up by her hair, and then nails her with another left cross across her cheek!
Suzanne is down for the count!
Or so we think!
Moments later, Erika Nann is sadly shot in the stomach. Not cool!
That's it for the catfight.
However, it is one of my favorite catfights because:
A. The bad girl dominates.
B. The good girl generated virtually no offense whatseover.
C. The bad girl dominates. (yes, I said that already, I know!)
This must be a very rare find!
The prices are VERY HIGH on Amazon. If you can find this movie somewhere else cheaper, feel free, but here are the links where I make a very small percentage if you buy through Amazon:

Plug of the Week - Kim and Ginny's Celebrity Fights!
PLUG OF THE WEEK:
Kim and Ginny's Celebrity Fights!
It's become obvious to me during my years as a catfight and female wrestling fan that many of you like your female vs female combat in story based form.
A female duo that goes by the name of Kim and Ginny, along with their dedicated and talented roster of scribes, have been providing stories for this fan base genre for quite some time now.
Go ahead and name a female celebrity! I dare you!
Chances are, there is a story about them at the Kim and Ginny website.
How many stories are we talking about?
Try, oh, about 1800!
Amazing? Yes! Very amazing indeed!
But, it should be noted that there is a lot more than that! Many have been lost over the ages, some are located on some other websites Kim and Ginny run, and some are located on the Kim and Ginny Message Board.
Here are the names of some of the writers that have made Kim and Ginny's site a special one over the years:
Kim and Ginny Writing Team:
Southgate
Kit
Shanahan
Harry
John J
Mika - (aka Hlywdcatft)
Jackflash
SamDog
Maverik
Blizzard
Oberon
Interac
Irish - (he loves Playboy model Karen McDougal!)
Jermaine
Joe
The Walkin Dude
Tansel
BBB4
Simguy
Kim
Ginny
That's 21 writers above! But, that is not even close to being ALL the writers. These are simply ones who have made a lot of contributions. More than likely I'm missing a few. Again, absolutely amazing!
Kim and Ginny, the ones who run these websites, are big fans of Hollywood actress Charlize Theron. And, my goodness, who can blame them? She is one of the most naturally beautiful Hollywood actresses anyone has ever laid their eyes on. And who can forget that catfight in 2 Days in the Valley?
Meow!
My only criticism of the Kim and Ginny websites is that many of the stories do not have much visual imagery in them. Visual imagery is a big part of the human experience and I have always felt it helps the writing immensely when, at the very least, there is a picture of each participant in a given matchup. Or, even maybe a youtube outtake.
But, despite that, it would probably take someone an entire year to read through their entire archive of material, and should provide endless enjoyment to those who love their female vs female combat in story based and fantasy form. In fact, this is one of the reasons I started my new Catfight Fantasy Girls website is because I'm a fan of it too!

This month's poll is going to attempt to merge a couple of personalities from 2 differing genres.
We are asking who would win in a REAL female wrestling matchup!
In Corner Number 1:
Lisa Danielle
AKA Oynx - AKA (formerly) Bronco Billie
Height: 5'5"
Weight: 123lbs
Fighting Experience: Wrestler in Wowe, numerous custom scripted matches, has participated in boxing, and is MMA trained.

In Corner Number 2:
Whitney Jene Harchanko

Ringo's Take: We have a couple of diverse women here. Oynx is a bit older than Whitney, but that could play to her advantage as she does have a lot of experience. Oynx also is in very good physical shape and has very strong muscles. However, Whitney is a bit younger, perhaps faster, and seems to have a lot more fighting skills under her belt.
But, this is real wrestling I'm asking about here! Pins and Submissions!
So who do you think would win IF these two ever engaged in a REAL wrestling match?
Would you choose Oynx?
Or would you choose Whitney Jene Harchanko?
Vote right now!
BONUS!
What "if" these two women agreed to wrestle for real? (they haven't)
Would you invest to see these two in a Catfight Report Challenge matchup?

Most importantly, please comment in the "comment box" at the end of this article, and please let us know how much of your own money you would invest to see this match actually happen! And, list what stipulations you would pay to see in a Catfight Report Challenge match.
Serious responses only please!
Amounts offered can be large or small!
A little can add up to a lot!
We can't guarantee they will accept, but if the amounts are high enough, and if you provide your real email address so we can contact you about this later, who knows?
THIS MONTH IN DOUBLE TROUBLE WRESTLING
Featuring:
2 Reviews!
Match 1:
Francesca Le
VS
Hollywood
Make no question about it. Hollywood and Francesca Le are two of the biggest legends at Double Trouble Wrestling. These two women have shot a lot of videos for the company and both females boast very big and devout fan bases.
And, in this matchup, labeled DT-883-01, these two standard bearers go at it once again!
Legend vs Legend!
Who will win you ask?
The match starts out with the sexy prerequisite posing by both of these fine females. Both women are looking as good as ever in their tiny little bikinis as they pose in their respective corners.
Hollywood can help but make a taunt:
HOLLYWOOD: You are going down Francesca! You know all about that, huh?
The match then starts with a test of strength in the middle of the ring as both women raise their hands and interlock with one another. It doesn't last long, however, as Hollywood shoots a kick to Francesca's midsection and sends her down to her knees. Francesca is a resilient one, as she gets back to her feet, with her hands still interlocked, and shoots a return kick of her own that blasts Hollywood in the ribs.
Hollywood is not taking this, as she blasts another kick to Francesca's stomach, jumps on her back in a straddle, and starts pulling back on Francesca's arms and neck as she shoots off some choice taunts.
Hollywood continues to wear Francesca down for a bit, until Francesca finally rolls out of the move, and then traps Hollywood in a combination full nelson and body scissors down on the mat.
Francesca Le with a full nelson & body scissors combo on Hollywood!
Next thing you know, Hollywood is on top of Francesca, body to body, and presses her large breasts into Francesca's face as she struggles to get free.
Hollywood applies the breast smother on Francesca Le!
At this point, Hollywood takes full advantage of Francesca, and even rips her bikini top off, exposing her breasts, as she dominates until around the 6 minute mark.
Then, a top nude Francesca can't help but return the favor from before, as she now uses her nude breasts and smothers Hollywood with them while she is on her back in the center of the ring. However, if you think this is going to be a back and forth match, you are dead wrong!
After about the 8 minute mark, one of these females starts taking absolute control of the other one, and dominates all the way until the end of the match at the 17 minute mark. You are going to see some of the sexiest female wrestling holds known to man, and you will even get to see Hollywood topless, which is something you don't see much these days!

MATCH 2:
CALI LOGAN
VS
ALYSSA
If you have been a fan of scripted female wrestling at all in the last couple of years, you know with certainty that Cali Logan has been a hot commodity. She is the beautiful "girl next door" female wrestling type. The one that you would never dream would participate in this kind of action or even get nude.
Alyssa fits neatly into the same category and she has been blazing the trails at Double Trouble Wrestling as she has been participating in a lot of matches recently.
This match starts off with the two ladies locking up in the center of the ring. They struggle for position while standing and then start trading punches, kicks, and taunts with one another. Alyssa scores the advantage early but Cali comes roaring back and locks Alyssa in a temporary facesit as all Alyssa can do is stare upwards at her motivated attacker.
Cali Logan (kinda) facesits Alyssa!
It's not long, however, before Alyssa regains the advantage and locks up Cali's legs while pulling back on Cali's arms.
Alyssa stretches Cali Logan to the limit!
These two girls are certainly not as polished on their moves as a lot of the veterans on the roster, but they are both a work in progress, and both of them look awfully good nude from the top up! You will see a lot of nipple twisting, scissor holds, taunts, and I'm certain fans will enjoy Cali's plump and nude natural breasts and Alyssa's wonderful backside!
All I can tell you is that the winner wins the match via a straight up neck chokeout!
Here is a Preview Clip!
Who do you think ends up winning this match?
Cali Logan or Alyssa?

CATFIGHT REPORT EXCLUSIVE INTERVIEW
ACADEMY BRUCE
For the fans who follow the REAL female wrestling business with any amount of fervor, the name "Academy Bruce" most certainly rings a bell. This is the man who runs Academy Wrestling Productions. Not only does he run the best real female wrestling company in North America, but he is a very opinionated guy, and I have always loved the fact that he gets "out there" and participates in the discussions regarding this topic around the internet.
If you have not checked out Academy Wrestling I implore you to do so........right now. No. Literally.
Right now! Check it out. It is a very well put together site and you will find some of the most beautiful and talented models in the business, not only wrestling for real, but engaging in some very hot erotic action as well.
I will be doing a review on this great company in the future, but for now, let's interview the man behind the curtain. The man who goes by the name of..............Academy Bruce!
Catfight Report Exclusive Interview with Academy Bruce
1. From following your posts on message boards and such it is evident that you have a lot of knowledge about this business and you have been involved for quite a while. Please tell Catfight Report readers how you got into this awesome business and detail some of the life events, experiences, and decisions that led you down this path.
ACADEMY BRUCE: It’s quite simple actually. I started collecting in the early 1980’s buying VHS tapes from companies like Triumph Studios, Hoffman Agency, Golden Girls, and Joan Wise. I had begun to believe I could do better than several of these companies, and when I received the Double Trouble tape I was convinced I could do better.
2. What have you learned about the psychology of those involved who enjoy catfights and female combat? I unsuccessfully attempted to pin down the catfight-female wrestling-combat fetish down in an article entitled "Understanding the Catfight Fetish Part 1". What amazes me the most is that the fans are so incredibly diverse in what they like! As a producer, you have had a bit of an inside track to put it lightly. How do you personally describe and relate to this "fetish", if we are to call it that, and what have you learned about this interesting subset of human culture throughout your involvement and through your client base?
ACADEMY BRUCE: All I have learned is that it seems that every collector is unique in why he likes what he likes and that I must be pretty mainstream in what I like because there have been enough customers to sustain the Academy for two decades. There is an obvious interest in common themes that are shared by many, but I have never been a student of psychology and am largely uninterested in the "why" question. It’s enough for me to have a slight understanding of WHAT some in the fraternity find erotic about wrestling. The "Why" question is one for deeper thinkers than I.
3. Let's talk Academy Wrestling. What do you feel are the key points and psychology that sets Academy Wrestling apart from the other companies?
ACADEMY BRUCE: Back in the 90’s we did what others were doing (Pro-am scripted wrestling and face sitting) only better and there must have been enough Fraternity members dissatisfied with their existing options to create a niche for us.
Later the women working for us led us into more graphically erotic content. All the women working for us were local San Jose-area strippers; Miranda Parton and Tuesday Taylor let me know (I had been oblivious) that they were mutually attracted to one another sexually. We came to agreement on price, and AX-01 was shot. Miranda was instrumental in identifying which of our wrestlers were interested in having sex with girls. (I had been oblivious despite what in hindsight is very plain and she had the radar tuned!)
4. I saw on the Naked Wrestling Forum where you posted an entry saying that you are one of the biggest female wrestling fans in the world. I think this is important, because it shines through on the quality of Academy Wrestling the company. We often see a lot of people who get into this business for the money, but they are not true fans, and generally end up failing at a very high rate. I think to be a winner in this business not only do you have to offer quality, value, competitive pricing and options..........but also, and most importantly in my view, must have a true passion for this business. Obviously, I'm sure you agree with this sentiment, but could you further illustrate the importance of this due to your experience perhaps with examples you have witnessed over the years?
ACADEMY BRUCE: I think it’s like every other human endeavor. If you are obsessed with something, you work at it tirelessly and it’s the perspiration, not the inspiration, that affects success. There are quotes from all manner of successful humans to that effect, but quoting any of them to me would seem like comparing myself to them and I am not yet that arrogant.
Fans!

5. There is Academy Bruce and then there is Bruce the person. Obviously, many of us live double lives in a sense. We have our regular jobs, regular people we associate with on a daily basis, and the topic of female wrestling and catfighting is still a bit taboo it seems. First off, how have you dealt with this over the years and what are your thoughts on it now? Secondly, do you ever think there will be a day when this will be as acceptable as talking about WWE Wrestling for example? Why or why not?
ACADEMY BRUCE: Can’t see it happening, and I don’t think it’s desirable! Some things are better off private. I am uninterested in sharing my sexual interests with the general public. What we create is porn, and every wrestling producer knows this is true whether they admit it or not. They know their intended audience finds the material sexually arousing.
6. Let's talk about the females of Academy Wrestling. I'm sure you have a million of stories to share and I'm willing to bet a lot of people are interested in hearing them. To start, I know you don't want to be unprofessional or disrespect anyone, but this is the Catfight Report, and we ask tough questions damn it! :)
Over the years of filming 100's of matches.........could you name maybe 5 or 10 matches that are for sell on the Academy Wrestling website where things "got out of control"? Meaning, what are some of the most memorable bouts were there was a ton of emotion, and no lost love between the two competitors? For example, did any real catfights break out? Did anyone leave in tears?
Also, what are some of the matches in Academy Wrestling history that went the wildest in your view?
ACADEMY BRUCE: I know some people will be disappointed in the honest answer, or disappointed in me that I didn’t fabricate some story for marketing reasons, but after 20 years and over 600 matches, never has a woman left in tears. Never has a real fight broken out. We came close once during the Roni Ramone vs. Bobbie Boudreau re-match, but I stepped between them very quickly and Roni calmed quickly.
I think if you set a professional tone as producer and run a professional set, there is no risk of people acting unprofessionally. At least it has proven out to be true at the Academy these past 20 years.
ACA 40 we had a relatively new girl against one of our “old timers” It was the same as their relationship at the strip club. Sammi was territorial and defensive Casey flaunted her youth and popular status in Sammi’s face. Sammi got huffy during the shoot, then smothered Casey bit too roughly during the face sit finish and Casey didn’t like it at all. I snuffed that one too, really quickly.
Roni Ramone vs Bobbie Boudreau
Click the picture to purchase the match!
7. Obviously, you never want to rate your own girls. However, as fans we know that Luzia was without a doubt one of the leading girls at DWW. A new girl named Luna is making big waves at DWW and this is immediately obvious. At Double Trouble Francesca Le has been a leading girl over the years. This, again, is pretty obvious. While it might be hard to define the quality the makes one a leading girl..........who are some of the females in your view that have "carried the torch" so to speak for Academy Wrestling over the years?
ACADEMY BRUCE:
In order:
* Katherine Parton
* Miko Handa
* Miranda Parton
* Sabrina West
* Jade Imohara
* Amy Lewinski
* Bobbie Boudreau
* Hannah/Janay
* Crimson Kang
* Isamar Gutierrez
* Also, who do you think are some of the new faces who have the potential to carry the torch to the next generation?
* Dia Zerva
* Ariel X
* Juliette Vu
8. If you could pick 5-10 matches, that Bruce, the fan, would just absolutely do backflips to see take place at the Academy...............who would the 5-10 matches involve? To clarify, if Bruce was god today, and you had every single female in the world at your disposal.........what matchups would you formulate in an Academy Wrestling rules setting?
ACADEMY BRUCE:
Dia Zerva vs Isamar Gutierrez
Ariel X vs Isamar Gutierrez
Dragonlily vs Isamar Gutierrez
Kymberly Jane vs Amber Rayne
Kymberly Jane vs Tia Ling
Jasmine Chou vs Tia Ling
Cali Logan vs Kymberly Jane
9. This question might be somewhat similar to question 5 but I will pose it anyway. Reality TV right now is the rage. Ratings are through the roof for a lot of those programs. I have the feeling and notion that a female wrestling show.........real matches.......non-nude for network approval..........would absolutely blow competiting programs out of the water. I think someone is going to make a lot of money taking this to the mainstream. Am I out in left field or am I on to something here? What do you think is the viability along with the challenges of such an undertaking?
ACADEMY BRUCE: Like the WWE question above. Not necessary or desirable. I refuse to watch any of that crap.
10. Final Thoughts. I'm sure you have plenty to share, so please fill us in on any neat or interesting stories or tidbits we might have missed, and feel free to use this section to tell people more about Academy Wrestling, and what we can expect in the future.
ACADEMY BRUCE: Bookmark the site and come back, we update 2 x per week, every week.

PLEASE WELCOME WARREN GRIFFIN
TO THE CATFIGHT REPORT!
In the Catfight Report Internet Magazine Volume 7 a request was made by me for writers.
A gentleman who goes by the pen name of "Warren Griffin" answered the call!
He did two pieces in August and I am absolutely thrilled with his work. I also love the fact that I have to do very little if any micromanaging with this gentleman.
I wanted to take this opportunity to publicly welcome him to the Catfight Report, and I hope all of you enjoy his current and future works as much as I'm certain I am going to. He is also going to be writing for my new Catfight Fantasy Girls project and I hope you enjoy his works there as well.
Here are the two articles he did in August of 2010:
1. Superheroine Double Take - Two Hot Blondes - One Hot Costume
2. Custom Clashes - From Script to Screen - Warren Griffin explains "How"

The Return of the Catfight Report Poll!
Some Websites where you can find Oynx:

Twitter - CLICK HERE
In Corner Number 2:
Whitney Jene Harchanko
Height: 5'6"
Weight: 115lbs
Fighting Experience: 2nd Degree Black Belt in American Karate. (13 years of training). 7 years of Muay Thai kickboxing training.
Some Websites where you can find Whitney Jene:

Read the details on the Catfight Report Challenge HERE
Most importantly, please comment in the "comment box" at the end of this article, and please let us know how much of your own money you would invest to see this match actually happen!

In order:
* Katherine Parton
* Miko Handa
* Miranda Parton
* Sabrina West
* Jade Imohara
* Amy Lewinski
* Bobbie Boudreau
* Hannah/Janay
* Crimson Kang
* Isamar Gutierrez
* Also, who do you think are some of the new faces who have the potential to carry the torch to the next generation?
* Dia Zerva
* Ariel X
* Juliette Vu
This is truly a very unique group!
It is a group formed by women for women only.
Now, I....... Johnny Ringo, am not a female. Therefore, I don't have access, and can't make much of a statement on the website. So there will be no praises and criticisms this time around.
I am an "each to their own" type of guy and appreciate the uniqueness of what these gals have done and accomplished over the years.
However, if you are a female, and you are a fan of catfights and female wrestling, this is certainly something you might want to look into!
Here is the message from the Barb's Corner Facebook page that describes the group:
This is a group for women and couples into all forms of wrestling. Session wrestlers, female pro wrestlers, pro dommes, and female video producers are welcome if they do this as fun and fees are not involved. And of course, we true underground amateurs.
This group is a continuation and evolution of Barb's Ladies Corner and the old AFWG with founders who were/are members of both. This group is a public service for all and open to all women/couples where the female competes in the various forms.
With the moderators, you have a combined 30-yrs experience and with the members, we plan to make this group the standard to pass on to others.
Interests in fantasy, competitive, semi competitive, role-play, cat fights, pro style etc. are all welcome.
It takes all the good of AFWG and Ladies Corner and moves it along. This group will always continue to be passed to others and not become the property of one.
This is a female operated group and all verifications will be done by women, to women. We have worldwide contacts and an extension of The Combative Woman’s Web Site.
PHONE NUMBERS ARE REQUIRED UPON APPLYING, NO EXCEPTIONS.
Provide a name and a phone number WHEN you apply so you can be called to be Voice Verified. And we do periodic re verifications.

Custom Clashes: From Script to Screen - Warren Griffin explains "How"
by: Warren Griffin
Connect with him - HERE
For this article, I started off doing a review of a particular video for which I wrote the script. But along the way, the article morphed into a more general editorial on the process of commissioning a custom match.
I thought some of my experiences in this regard might be helpful for those who haven't ordered a custom match yet but have wondered how it goes. So I dropped the video review part altogether and will tackle that later. Instead, I've organized this discussion around some FAQs--just things I've heard come up on various chat boards over the years, or things I used to wonder myself. My answers will be just that: mine.
I'm not trying to be totally comprehensive or speak for everybody, but rather will just answer from my own (potentially quirky) point of view. Others are welcome to add their perspectives via comments below.
So let's take it from the top ...
1. Why commission a match of your own when there are so many videos already out there? Can't you find something you like without going to the trouble and expense of a custom match?
It's true, there is a lot of fem-fight material out there already, and more coming out every day. If your interests are fairly general, or at least fairly common within the genre, then chances are good that someone else already is commissioning things right up your alley, or producers are coming up with scripts of their own that suit your fancy.
In this case, it sure is a lot cheaper to buy an existing video than commission a new one yourself, and you may be all set. But the commission bug might bite if you have more specific interests that aren't being represented a lot out there already, or if you have specific performers in mind who haven't yet done much of what you're looking for. These were my main reasons for getting started with customs.
Some of my favorite performers weren't showing up (or weren't showing up very often) in some of my favorite types of matches, and rather than keep waiting for it to happen by someone else's doing, I finally decided to try commissioning some matches myself.
Other reasons to bust this move might include the fun of the creative exercise of writing a script and seeing it brought to life (how often do you get to be a Hollywood screenwriter?), the intrigue of "interacting" with your favorite fem-fight stars via your scripts (this is perhaps a little geeky, but there's a certain appeal to knowing that for a little while, at least, a performer you admire from afar is actually thinking about your ideas and how to make your particular wishes come true as they read your script and shoot the video), wanting to affirm/support a favorite performer or company by providing them with business, and the list goes on.
I'm actually curious to hear what other people's reasons have been for making the leap to custom matches, so please add your comments!
2. How do you come up with the idea/storyline for your script?
Obviously, there could be a million answers to this, but for me personally, script ideas generally have come from a few places:
(i) An existing video made by someone else that was interesting but during which I kept thinking, "Yeah, but this would be perfect if they'd just done this, that, or the other differently." So I might start with the same basic concept and adapt from there to be more specific to my ideal.
(ii) A long-standing fantasy scenario that I've never seen anyone else get all that close to, so I decided to stop waiting and put it out there myself.
(iii) Or I see a favorite performer in a particular outfit that I'd like to see them in again, so a script might come to mind based around that attire.
3. How do you actually write the script? How much detail should you include?
How much detail is acceptable varies by producer, so partly you just take your cue from them. In my experience, really detailed dialog may be a tough sell, but taking the time to give a little explanation of the style of action you're looking for and any really important plot details that are make-or-break for you might actually be appreciated by the producer, so they don't have to guess what you mean by general instructions like, "And then the girls have a really hot catfight!"
Producers want satisfied customers, so they generally respond well to clear explanations of what you're really going for, as long as the plot itself doesn't become overly complex. It's a balance. I generally start with as much detail as comes to my mind when I'm first writing the script, and then I go back through and try to weed out details that I don't think are truly critical, so the producer and performers do not get bogged down in side-issues and miss the main boat.
4. How do you pick the performers you want to request for your script?
This might seem like a silly question. Duh! You pick the performers you like the most! And to a large extent, that's true. But it's worth considering how well the performers will work together and how naturally they will fit in the particular roles you've requested. Some performers really seem to have chemistry when they work together--they just flow and seem to anticipate each other's moves and play off of each other well in the action. But the same performers might have more stilted performances when matched with someone else. So think about the combination of performers, rather than just picking them because they individually appeal to you.
Likewise, there are some performers that I love in the role of the aggressor but find surprisingly less effective when they are on the losing side (or vice-versa). So if the script calls for a lot of back and forth in terms of who has the upper hand, I may decide to go with a performer that is a second-choice overall but who happens to be able to carry both sides of the battle well.
On the other hand, if the script is really one-sided, then versatility is much less important, and I may just focus on trying to match my favorite dom with my favorite submissive (again, accounting for chemistry). It's also worth thinking through some alternates, in case your first-choice performers don't come through on the day of the shoot. I have not always done this and have learned the hard way that a last-minute substitution of someone you don't know at all can have unexpected results.
5. Which company should you send your script to? How much attention do they pay to what you've asked for? How do you know the producer actually "gets" it?
With so many producers out there nowadays, and so many of them working with the same cadre of performers, deciding where to actually send your script can be non-trivial. I obviously have not worked with every producer, or even a large fraction of them, so I can't give comprehensive ratings or anything like that.
But in general terms, I think one would naturally gravitate toward producers that already are putting out material that is close to what you have in mind for a particular script. Asking a producer or performer to do something far afield from their experience probably increases the chance of a misfire. If they've done something similar to your script before and they handled the concept well, then the chances are good that they will "get" your script too.
In my experience, producers and performers really do want to get on your wavelength and put on a good show that does justice to the script. It's a performance industry, and good products and happy customers make for good business. So hopefully you're less at risk of someone taking your money and just not giving a rip about how satisfied you are with the product (at least I've never gotten that vibe from a producer).
But even with the best of intentions on both sides, you are always at risk of simple miscommunication, and it's always possible that the producer or performers will have a hard time grasping all the nuances of your script because they don't live and breathe your specific cup of tea and won't always be able to tell whether they're hitting it out of the park or totally striking out until you see the finished video and give them that feedback (more later on feedback). All of this is why it makes sense to go with a producer that you know already has done some things close to what you're looking for and has done them well (in your eyes). That is probably the single best predictor of your satisfaction with your commission.
6. How much does it cost?
I almost didn't put this on the list, but someone is going to ask it. The price range is so huge and the factors so numerous that answering this is almost meaningless. You really just have to come up with the script and decide on the preferred performers, and then start inquiring with producers about the cost. Some companies, like Double Trouble, do post clear ballpark pricing right on their website, which can be a helpful guide so you're not totally sticker-shocked. But in the end, you won't really know about the cost for a particular script with a particular producer until you ask.
7. What happens on the day of the shoot when the performers actually get involved?
I have never been on-site for a shoot, so I don't claim to know a ton about what goes on behind the scenes (although you can get some idea from the raw footage, if the producer shares that with you, and from corresponding with the producers/performers after the fact). I mostly put this question in here to make just two points:
First, in many cases, the performers will not have seen your script until the day they show up for the shoot.
This is important because it reinforces the need to have a clearly written script that can be quickly digested and put into action. The performers probably are not going to show up having spent hours rehearsing your dialog over the past week, but more likely will be seeing the script cold with just a few minutes to get the idea before the camera rolls.
Second, producers vary on the issue of retakes. For some, once the camera starts rolling, pretty much whatever happens, happens, and if the performers get off track or start taking some creative license with the script, that's just the way it goes (for better or for worse). Other producers may be more inclined to stop and start the filming frequently to make sure things are sticking reasonably closely to the script and to correct any major flubs. If this difference matters to you, you should choose the producer accordingly.
8. What will you receive after the shoot? Raw footage? Edited footage? Photos? A "thank you" message? A personalized card?
Like everything else, this will vary by producer. But it's a good idea to ask up front what you can expect. Some producers, like Double Trouble, will by default send you raw footage immediately after the shoot, and then follow up with the final edited video later. Other producers only send the final edit by default, but might be willing to send raw footage if requested.
Also ask if photos will be included, and if so, whether they will be shot during the live action video or whether the photos will be posed images taken separately from the video. Personally, I prefer separately posed photos, because they generally have less motion blur, better angles (since the photo camera and the video camera aren't competing for vantages at the same time), better lighting, and the performers can really polish their facial expressions while posing for the still shots. The resulting posed photos invariably deviate from what actually happens during the live video shoot, but it's an interesting way of seeing two different interpretations of your script--the live video interpretation and the posed photo interpretation.
A simple but nice touch that some producers also add is a short clip at the end of the video in which the performers talk to the camera and say hello, perhaps give a little spontaneous commentary on the experience of shooting the match, and often thank the person who commissioned the video by name. The extra clip might be only 15 or 30 seconds, but I always think it's nice to see the performers being themselves after the shoot in this quasi-interactive bonus clip, which generally goes only to the person who requested the video. One self-employed performer I worked with even mailed a hand-written "thank you" card with the finished DVD, which I thought was very gracious.
9. What will you think when you finally see the video? Will it be all you hoped and dreamed? Will you finally have exactly what you want and not have to keep looking for more videos?
I've only had a couple true disappointments with custom matches. The rest of the time, I've ended up thinking the final product was somewhere between pretty good and fan-friggin-tastic!
But the funny thing is that even for the videos in the latter category, they almost always had to grow on me a bit at first. Expectations are so high when you first receive the video from the producer, and you're hoping that everything went just the way you'd imagined it in your mind's eye when you wrote the script. But then you watch the video for the first time, and inevitably not everything is quite the way you imagined.
The costumes are a little different, the setting a little distracting, the dialog is changed, maybe whole segments of the plot are dropped or altered (either by accident, or for convenience, or because time ran out, or sometimes by performer request--for instance, maybe it turns out on the day of the shoot that a performer just won't do something you had asked for, so the producer changes things around on the fly and revises parts of your script, as has happened to me), or just the way the performers execute the moves you requested is slightly different than how you thought it would look, etc.
On your very first viewing of a commissioned match, it's almost inevitable that you'll be distracted by everything that didn't go exactly as you'd hoped. But once you've absorbed the first impression and then take a closer look at the video for what it is rather than for what it's not, you may find that many of the differences aren't really detractors. Things that might not be what you had envisioned might still turn out to be every bit as entertaining, and in a few cases, I can honestly say that I liked some things BETTER the way the performers pulled them off compared to what I'd actually asked for.
But even if you ultimately love the finished product, it seems like there's always room to think of taking things in a different direction the next time, or clarifying that one critical element that the performers didn't totally get, or just trying a different setting or costume or premise or what have you, and before you know it, you're halfway to your next script idea, and the commission bug just keeps biting!
10. What feedback should you give the producer and the performers? Do they listen?
I think a little follow-up note to the producer with your reaction to the finished product is a good idea. Like anyone else, I'm sure producers and performers would always rather hear praise than criticism, and you probably should lead with the former. But if there's something in particular that didn't match your expectations, then it's an opportunity to politely clarify what you were asking for, so that next time the producer is more likely to "get" your script.
In one of my early commissions, a key request for the fighting style was totally misinterpreted, but I realized it was my own fault for not having been clearer in my script. The performers were just trying to implement what they thought I was asking for. The producer (who also was one of the performers) accepted the clarification very graciously when I sent her my feedback on the video, and not only did she totally correct that detail in subsequent commissions, but all on her own, she actually found a creative way to make reference to the improper fighting style used in the earlier video and turned it into part of the overall storyline in a way that made sense, which I thought was very cool.
11. Any final thoughts or lessons-learned? Would you recommend getting into custom matches?
I think the whole process of commissioning a match and working with the producer on the details and seeing your own script turned into a live-action video can be a lot of fun. If you're interested, and you can swing it, I would recommend giving the custom match thing a try (with the caveats above). Doing commissions can add a whole new dimension to your experience of the fem-fight genre! All of the producers linked on the right of this page accept custom requests, so don't be shy. Drop them a line with your script idea and get rolling on your own female fighting masterpiece! And then leave your comments here to tell us about your experience.

Blast from the Past: Did Mira Sorvino and Mariah Carey get into a Catfight?
MARIAH CAREY
VS
MIRA SORVINO
DID IT HAPPEN?
People Magazine reported back in 2001 that Mira Sorvino and Mariah Carey got into a heated "wrestling match" on the set of the movie Wisegirls.
The outburst was supposedly because of Mariah Carey being late to the set.
The producer of Wisegirls, a man by the name of Billy Blake, is the one who broke the story to People Magazine. He stated that Mira got in Mariah's face, Mariah threw a salt shaker at her, and then the two women "wrestled to the floor" during the first week of filming.
However, a bit of controversy surrounds this issue, as Mira Sirvono seemed to be surprised and shocked at the allegations and charged irresponsible journalism on the part of People Magazine.
Mira Sorvino stated the following:
"No physical fight ever occurred between us and the idea is as insulting as it is laughable," Sorvino says in a statement. "We finished the film dancing at an impromptu wrap party in high spirits and exchanged gifts and warmest goodbyes. My heart goes out to her and I am praying for her speedy recovery."
Now despite this, both of the reps for Mira and Mariah claim that words were exchanged between the two on the day in question. After this story hit the news, the man who originally broke the story to People magazine, Billy Blake, then RETRACTED his story and said he was not on the set that day and received reports from second hand sources.
Another producer, Anthony Esposito, also denied that a fight took place. He said they got along well and it would "destroy his film if true".
Well, well.
Grounds for a coverup?
People Magazine claimed that they stood by their story.
People Magazine senior editor Ken Miller had the following to say:
"Billy Blake told us he had this from eight different eyewitnesses who called him immediately after the incident, and as a producer of the film, we felt he hardly had an axe to grind."
Now keep in mind that Mariah Carey was going through a very tough time during this time period. The week before she was hospitalized for having an emotional and physical breakdown. Not to mention that she had another film, called Glitter, that had a soundtrack coming out.
Johnny Ringo's opinion?
The fight happened. Can I prove it? No. Is it just wishful thinking on my part? Possibly.
But, I think everyone concerned were merely trying to protect Mariah Carey at the time because of all of the bad press she was receiving. With millions of dollars on the line you can see why.
Am I right?
Am I wrong?
Let's hear those comments!

PRAISE:
I know a lot of you out there are fans of animated wrestling action. If you like digitally scripted models you really should look no further than the Basement Wrestling League.
In the opinion of Johnny Ringo, the gentleman who runs the website, who goes by the name of Entropy, is one of the absolute best at what he does.
He has been in this business for a very long time and it shines through with the work he exhibits on the website.
And it is not just confined to Female Wrestling! For those of you who like Mixed Wrestling action (woman vs man) he provides a lot of this as well!
Example of one of Entropy's digitally rendered models:
The website is very easy to navigate, and it's simple and to the point. He has a tremendous archive of material that will keep you busy for hours upon hours. It's also a very nice touch that he provides sample pictures with every single update he does. And, he updates weekly! Wow!
I also enjoy the fact that he has an RSS Feed on his website so you can stay tuned to what he has coming up every week without having to remember to visit.
The average weekly update offers one or two fights (mixed or F/F) illustrated by a total of at least 20 new pictures each (often more). That’s a minimum of 20 new images weekly for the reasonable cost of a BWL membership: $17.95 or 13 Euro a month. This represents less than a mere 22¢ per image!
CRITICISMS:
None! Considering the large archive of material you get for the price, the easy website navigation, and the fact that Entropy really stays on top of things.....I can't think of a single criticism!
